AC Milan's head coach, Stefano Pioli, commented on Sky Sport Italia about his AC Milan's 3-1 victory against Frosinone at the San Siro stadium.
On the victory:
"It was our objective. Winning two games in a row is important. We need to maintain consistency in our performance if we want to compete for the top positions."
On Theo playing as a center-back:
"The idea came from him; he spoke with me and said he could play in that role. He did really well defensively and also in initiating plays. He had a great game, showing a strong willingness to help the team in a critical moment."
Regarding Gerry Cardinale's visit to Milanello:
"I often speak with him this season; every time he comes to Milan, we meet. Like all owners, he seeks explanations about things that didn't go well. It was a positive and constructive meeting for me. He's very involved and wants to understand all situations", said Pioli.
On squad selection choices:
"I trust many of the young players; the youth sector is doing great work. But I believe it's right to have the clarity to understand the moments, to know when to field them and when to play more experienced players. Today, there was no room for emotion. I'm not afraid to field them, but I know when I should."
On AC Milan's current situation, Pioli said:
"Consistency is lacking, and we need to find it in our performances. The sooner we recover from injuries, the more our quality will increase. This situation is affecting us. We need consistency in the league to fight for the top."
On the match:
"We had a very good game against an opponent in good form. We didn't concede much, except for the chance that came after Tomori's mistake."
About Frosinone's coach Eusebio Di Francesco:
"I complimented him. He's an excellent coach and a smart person. Frosinone plays well, but we did well to be a team. We deserved to win against a good team."
