AC Milan's French goalkeeper, Mike Maignan, has a contract which is valid until the summer of 2026. The former Lille champion is regarded as a great asset for head coach Stefano Pioli and that is why a renewal is necessary to keep him happy for more years.
According to FootMercato, there's currently a distant agreement between AC Milan and Maignan for the renewal, negotiations have been ongoing for 6 months and are still ongoing.
At this moment, Maignan doesn't want to consider leaving, and for the Rossoneri, a sale in the short term is currently out of the question. On the other hand, some clubs continue to keep an eye on the situation, we are talking about Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.
In the last match against Frosinone, Mike Maignan contributed greatly to the victory by making a very important save and also by providing an incredible and accurate assist to Christian Pulisic, a pass which was around 50 metres long. He is the only goalkeeper in the top 5 leagues who provided an assist in each of the last three seasons.
