AC Milan signed several players in attack last summer: Christian Pulisic, Samuel Chukwueze, Noah Okafor, Luka Jovic and also the young Luka Romero. Only one, however, has made a big impact on the Rossoneri's results and that is the American winger: Christian Pulisic.
In fact, Tuttosport this morning recalled some of the numbers that the former Chelsea player has achieved up to this point in his first season with Milan: he has scored six goals this season, five in the league, and one – the one against Newcastle – in the Champions League. Nearly all of these goals have been decisive, which is noteworthy.
Pulisic alone isn’t enough, though. Fortunately for Pioli, there were positive responses from the other new signings at St. James' Park. Against Newcastle, it was three new acquisitions – Jovic, Chukwueze, and Okafor – who built the counterattack for the 2-1 victory.
Especially the Serbian and the Nigerian are expected to deliver. Jovic has shown a different attitude in the last few games, while Chukwueze has been crucial in Europe but is also anticipated to perform in the league.
This Sunday: both of them, in fact, are candidates for a starting spot. Giroud and Pulisic, who have been squeezed to their limits lately, might start from the bench. Jovic and Chukwueze's goal, just like Okafor's, will be to maintain consistency in their performances.
