Tuttosport, in this print edition this morning wrote about the AC Milan club owner Gerry Cardinale.
According to the Italian newspaper, a new milestone could take place by the end of the spring. Perhaps by then, there might be the entry of a new entity set to replace Elliott as the financial supporter of Red Bird, with a sum of 585 million contributing to the total valuation of 1.2 billion assigned to the Rossoneri club at the time of the transfer from the hedge fund to Gerry Cardinale.
As per the newspaper's report, this change would likely alter the creditor of the 'vendor loan' that allowed the American manager to acquire Milan.
This shift seems to stem from contacts Cardinale has purportedly maintained for months with other funds, aiming to secure the necessary capital to repay the loan (700 million, including interest, by August 2025).
The replacement of this new entity with Elliott would allow Cardinale to extend the repayment timeline further. With this maneuver, Elliott would exit the scene after playing various roles in Milan since 2017.
