Franco Baresi, present in Nyon for the Europa League playoff draw, shared these words with the microphones of Sky Sport Italia:
On Rennes:
"In football, you should never underestimate anyone, but Milan must think big, be ambitious. We need to aim to win, with great respect for the opponent, but we must aim high. It will be played in February, there's time, hopefully, we'll have the team at full strength."
On the victory against Monza:
"We created a lot, it was a good game. It wasn't easy against Monza, and if they didn't have a great game, it's also credit to Milan."
On the league and Europa League:
"We shouldn't choose, Milan must always play their best to go as far as possible. In the league, we need to solidify our position and try to improve it. We need to recover the injured players; with a full squad, we can compete in every competition. You can't choose."
On Jan-Carlo Simic, Baresi said:
"It's nice to see a young player grown with us debut and score. It benefits the entire club. Milan pays attention when there's a young player to be launched. I'm happy for him and also for Camarda. I can imagine his family's happiness."
On AC Milan's season, this is what Baresi had to say:
"We've had little continuity, but we knew the Champions League group was tough. The league is still long, but at full strength, we can trouble everyone. We can do well."
