Giuseppe Bergomi, former Inter central defender and legend, spoke to Radio Anch'io Sport on Rai Radio. Here are his words about AC Milan's situation in the Serie A and hopes in Europa League:
"With the entire squad available, Milan is a very deep and strong team. I would describe them as a European team, with quick breaks, one-on-one situations, and lots of runs from midfielders. However, too many players got injured, and it affected their performance. But Pioli has always said it: we are strong, and it wasn't my fault for not enabling my players to advance in the Champions League. Milan must believe and can go on a winning streak.'
Regarding the European journey ahead for the AC Milan squad, Bergomi expressed:
"The Europa League? It's a tough and difficult competition with many strong teams, especially Liverpool. If Milan takes it seriously, they can go a long way; they're one of the favourites. However, not progressing in the Champions League is a bit disappointing, especially after last year's semifinal and the league title the year before that.'"
