During the interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, retired central defender Giorgio Chiellini, formerly of Juventus, spoke about Olivier Giroud's transfer to LA FC, where he also had played before announcing his retirement.
Here are his statements:
"In January, it was understood that he would come, but the danger was that another offer might come in. In the MLS, you have fun and live well, there is less pressure. He can score 20 goals, he’s not the type to score 50."
Chiellini commented further on Olivier Giroud's transfer from Milan to the MLS:
"However, here he will make a difference with his character... and then he could also become an actor."
