Il Giorno newspaper in today's edition published an article talking about AC Milan's new stadium project in San Donato area.

The year 2024 will be decisive in determining whether this project will become a reality. The investigative phase at the municipality is reaching its final stages.

Technicians are carefully analysing the documents submitted in recent months by 'SportLifeCity,' a company 90% owned by Milan, for the request of a urban planning variation in the San Francesco area, theoretically intended for the construction of the new stadium.

The next step involves the Municipal Council acknowledging the feasibility of the project. At that point, the technical-political process, also managed through a program agreement between the authorities, will begin, along with an informative campaign. The local population will then become acquainted with all the details of AC Milan's project for the sports facility and more.

As known, AC Milan's plans include a new stadium with a capacity of 72,000 seats distributed over two tiers. It will be built on a 'podium,' a raised structure that will also house bars, restaurants, shops, and a residence. In Milan's plans, there's also a theme park for children and families (rumours mention Legoland, according to Pianeta Milan) and a 3,000-seat auditorium for shows and cultural events, in addition to the Milan Museum.

Beneath the 'podium,' there will be a two-story above-ground parking facility. AC Milan's overall investment for the new stadium and beyond is estimated to be around one billion euros. The club aims to have a lively area seven days a week by 2028-2029 ; and not only when the Rossoneri are playing at home.
