"The UEFA has acknowledged the judgment passed today by the ECJ regarding the European Super League case.
This ruling doesn't signify support or approval of the so-called 'super league.' Instead, it highlights an existing gap within UEFA's pre-authorization system, a technical aspect that was recognized and addressed in June 2022.
UEFA is confident in the strength of its new regulations, ensuring their compliance with all relevant European laws and regulations.
UEFA remains steadfast in its commitment to maintaining the structure of European football, safeguarding its role in serving wider societal interests.
We will continue collaboratively shaping the European sports model with national associations, leagues, clubs, fans, players, coaches, EU institutions, governments, and partners.
We have faith that the solidarity-driven European football structure, which fans and all stakeholders have identified as their indispensable model, will be protected from the threat of breakaways through both European and national legislations."
