According to what is told by Milan News, the Rossoneri club owners, RedBird, are upset about the injury situation and has decided to intervene in that specific area to try to solve an issue that, under Pioli's management, has been a constant problem.
Right now, an internal solution to replace Stefano Pioli is to be excluded. In fact, Ignazio Abate is being protected to let him continue in his growth path as a coach in the Primavera team. It is also true that in the event of a collapse, the management and ownership should definitively intervene, even changing their views on some top coaches who are currently without a job (there's strong support from fans for Antonio Conte) because, in addition to a skilled coach and a capable staff capable of reversing the physical trend, there would also be a need for a figure to appease the public.
Stefano Pioli's adventure at AC Milan, however, even if he manages to win a trophy, is in its final chapters. Once the season ends, the club managers will analyse very closely a few different candidates to take over. One name in particular who is really liked is Bologna's boss Thiago Motta. The quality of football appeals to the Rossoneri bosses at Bologna who are fourth placed in the rankings so far. Thiago Motta is also much appreciated for his skills in player development and also communicative skills (The club sees Pioli's statements especially after the match against Salernitana were not 'Milan-worthy').
Additionally, Vincenzo Italiano (who is De Laurentiis's preferred profile for Napoli) is being carefully observed, as well as Francesco Farioli from Nice.
As for Antonio Conte, he could be the right man, and for him, Milan is an interesting club to start over in Italy. But, his salary requests could be a problem for the Rossoneri.
Roberto De Zerbi, on the other hand, is a great profile and a Milan supporter, but he seems more motivated to remain in the Premier League where, at the end of the season, serious offers could come in from some big clubs.
