Amid the news about new stadiums in the coming years for the two rivals AC Milan and Inter. They continue to share the costs of renting the San Siro stadium for now.
The figures for the 2022/23 season have remained stable compared to the 2021/22 season, in a year where the company 'M-I Stadio SRL', formed by Inter and Milan to manage the facility, has seen record revenues and profits.
As explained in recent days, 'M-I Stadio' closed the balance sheet on June 30, 2023, with revenues of 27.1 million euros (+37% compared to 19.8 million on June 30, 2022) and a profit of 3.6 million euros (+1.0 million in 2021/22), figures never reached in previous years by the company managing the Meazza facility. Previously, the highest figures were reached in 2015/16 for turnover (23.6 million) and in 2018/19 for net result (+1.6 million).
Overall, net of costs charged back to the clubs, 'M-I Stadio' recorded revenues from the two clubs amounting to 7.2 million euros in 2022/23, a decrease compared to the 8.5 million euros in 2021/22 due to the increase in costs charged back to the clubs for maintenance and facility management, rising from 1.45 to 3.48 million euros.
From the 2015/16 season to the 2022/23 season, the two clubs have paid a total of 64.8 million euros for stadium rent, with an average of approximately 8.1 million for Inter and Milan each season.
