As reported this morning by today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pioli's tenure on Milan's bench is at stake. A potential defeat could lead to the dismissal of the Milan coach, whose position is quite precarious after the disappointing draw against Salernitana, last in the standings, a week ago.
Unfortunately for head coach Stefano Pioli, however, the recent history at San Siro against Sassuolo is not encouraging at all: three losses in the last three matches, with Milan's last home victory dating back to the 2018-2019 season.
Last year's 2-5 defeat against Sassuolo in Milan was one of the lowest points of the Devil's season. This time, the game takes on an even more significant meaning because the Rossoneri coach's tenure is at stake on Milan's bench.
