Ariedo Braida, former sporting director of AC Milan and more recently CEO of Cremonese until last summer, has made some interesting statements on Radio Sportiva:
"Milan? I think one needs to look at things from the inside. If you work for Milan, you must know its history and level: now there are players who are not up to the club's standards, but not only there. In the past, there were few teams fighting for the Serie A title, and players sometimes have the ability to prove that they are wrong. Many times mistakes are made, but the problem is that when you sign a player, only time will tell if he is truly good."
Braida continued:
"At Milan, at the moment, there are ups and downs; it's not a great team, and I say that honestly. It's a mid-table team that hasn't even passed the Champions League group stage: at the moment, it's not at a high level. I love the Rossoneri, and I would like to see them competitive, traveling around Europe, and fighting for the title. Instead, it's just a good team lacking something, and there are issues in defense, midfield, and upfront in all positions."
