AC Milan announced through their website that Marco Pellegrino has signed for US Salernitana on loan until 30 June 2024.
The player is 21 years old. He is an Argentine player with an Italian passport. Before arriving to AC Milan last summer, he was plying his trade for Platense. To make the move happen in Salernitana, he had to receive an authorisation from FIFA because rules are that you can play for three different clubs in the same season.
During his time for the Rossoneri, Pellegrino only managed to appear in one match, against Napoli, where he suffered a severe injury. He returned recently to the playing field, featuring twice for the Primavera team of Ignazio Abate.
Salernitana are sitting in the last position in the league table. They are desperate for quality reinforcements and a good campaign during this second half of the season to obtain as many points as possible in order to avoid relegation to Serie B. Marco Pellegrino, therefore, will have to to give his all to show his worth and help his new team avoid relegation.
