Interviewed by the Milan TV microphones, Pietro Parmiggiani, who signed his first professional contract with the club recently, spoke about the season and the upcoming matches. Below are the statements of the young Rossoneri talent.
On the 3-3 draw against Sassuolo, the Italian right-footed centre-back said:
"Certainly, it left a bitter taste, now we must try to set it aside, work hard during the week and focus on the away game in Genoa, which I think will be very tough. There are many positive things to take from the first half, then there were mistakes and other negative aspects, but as the coach said, we must focus on the positive things and set aside the rest."
On the season, the 18-year-old talent commented:
"I think we have grown a lot as a group, also personally I feel I have grown a lot in these months thanks to the coach and teammates, who have helped me a lot in difficult moments. We are a young group, but we can compete with all teams. Of course, we have had difficult moments, as is normal, but we are a close-knit and very compact group."
On signing his first professional contract:
"A great emotion, especially because all the efforts I have made since I was little have paid off. This should be a starting point and not a destination, I will try to work to give my best."
On training with the first team, Parmiggiani said:
"It's always a great moment because you see what it's like to play at high levels, the intensity of passes and the pace. Plus, it's also a great moment for growth because you see what it's like to play among professionals, in the evening you watch them on TV and the next day you have the privilege of playing with them."
On the upcoming weeks:
"Now comes the final sprint. There are 13 games left, we must try to give everything we have if we want to go all the way and play the important games that count. For all the sacrifices and efforts we have made since the beginning of July, we deserve to go all the way in both the Youth League and the league. If we truly believe, we must push."
