Mikkel Beck, agent of AC Milan centre-back Simon Kjaer, spoke about his client to 'Bold.dk', a Danish news outlet.
Here are his statements.
Regarding the interest from Bayern Munich and Fenerbahçe in Kjaer during the last January transfer window:
"I won't comment on specific club names. But Simon has been, always is, and will always be interesting in every international football transfer window, and it's true that in January there was interest from several European clubs, including very big ones. I can say that. But Simon already plays for a very important club, and he was not at all interested in leaving Milan in the middle of another exciting season."
Was there really a possibility of Simon Kjaer returning to Fenerbahce last winter?
"It's true that Fenerbahçe inquired about Simon. He was a big star in that club, and they still dream of having him back. But he was not close to a move at all because in the midst of an important season with Milan, it was not the right time for Simon to even consider it."
He added:
"Simon is 100% focused on Milan, where he is a very important player. He has been in great form in recent months since returning from injury in December. And during that time, Milan has achieved excellent results with him in the team."
On the renewal of Simon Kjaer's contract with Milan, expiring as known on June 30th:
"We haven't spoken with Milan yet about next season. Simon would like to stay at Milan: if he doesn't, he will be free to sign with others after the Euros with Denmark."
