Post-match of Lazio - Milan literally heated after the on-field events, with the referee Di Bello forced to expel three Lazio players.
The first one was Luca Pellegrini, sent off for a second yellow card. The second yellow came for a huge naivety of the full-back, who stopped without the referee blowing the whistle, thus allowing Pulisic to take the ball from him.
The Lazio's number 3 was forced into the foul with an evident hold. To his "excuse," the referee missed a blow to Castellanos' face and he should have stopped the game, but he didn't. And so, while it seemed that Pellegrini would take the ball out, he naively stopped, forgetting that the game only stops when the referee blows the whistle: Pulisic, unaware of the opponent on the ground, simply continued to play.
Here's what he said on Instagram after the match:
"I apologize to the team and our fans for the red card. Next time, I will surely kick the ball out of the stadium, considering that blood on my teammate's face and the fact that I stopped wasn't enough for the referee. Unsportsmanship won. Proud of this group, we can leave with our heads held high. Forza Lazio."
