On Friday against Lazio, Milan brought home a hard-fought victory: the Rossoneri secured the third position, kept their pursuers at bay, and closed the gap on Juventus, who are in second place and will face Napoli tonight.
Once again, the match was decided by a goal from the bench: this makes it 13 out of 51 goals for the Rossoneri in Serie A, a feat unmatched by any other team in the top five European leagues.
Reporting this morning is Corriere della Sera, praising the scorer of the winning goal, namely Noah Okafor, who came on for Yacne Adli in the second half. The Swiss, who arrived from Salzburg in the summer on a permanent deal worth 14 million euros, has now reached five goals this season (all in the league). Analysing his goals reveals that whenever he scores, Milan always wins (against Cagliari, Lazio, Monza, Udinese, and again Lazio). Despite missing some games due to injury, Okafor is proving to be a strong reinforcement for the team.
The Swiss forward has particularly shone when coming off the bench, but on Sunday, he will have to start the game against Empoli in the league: Rafael Leao will be suspended (having been cautioned against Lazio) and his place on the left will be taken by Okafor.
After the Lazio match, Noah explained, "If this match marks the start of a new championship for me? I hope so, I work every day to be available for the team and to score goals.", as relayed via Milan News.
