The red card to Luca Pellegrini, a player for Lazio, has sparked much discussion.
In fact, Pellegrini tackled AC Milan's Christian Pulisic, who continued to play because the referee Di Bello did not stop the game after a Lazio player remained on the ground.
Pundit and journalist Riccardo Trevisani also spoke about the issue on 'Pressing'. Here are his words:
"There is a first mistake by the referee who doesn't stop the game: the most serious error. Then there's Pellegrini's mistake, who had the chance for five seconds to kick it out but didn't because he wanted to receive the throw-in and not let the opponents take it."
Trevisani then defends Pulisic, who unfairly ended up receiving threats and insults:
"For two days, I've been hearing that Pulisic is a cheat. Now, Pulisic, in this action, as seen from the images, never sees the Lazio player on the ground. Pulisic is someone who has received 13 yellow cards in his career. One of the fairest players in Serie A, and to portray him as a criminal... Can he notice that Pellegrini wants to kick it out? Yes. Or can he notice that Pellegrini only wants to keep him at a distance? He can't see a player on the ground behind him."
