Mayor Beppe Sala spoke again, on the sidelines of the event for the fortieth anniversary of 'Affar&Finanza'. During the meeting with journalists, the Milan mayor reopened discussions about the San Siro stadium, confirming the meeting with the clubs and WeBuild that will take place during the week:
"This week, I intend to meet with WeBuild and the teams to discuss with them. I believe that beyond some statements that sometimes seem to show an excessive interest in San Siro, if we were able to produce a good project, with a good restyling, not too expensive, I believe they would be interested. So, we just need to speed up and then put the teams in a position to decide."
Sala then added:
"I also think that for Milanese people, this is a somewhat endless story, and we need to move on. Additionally, there's the problem of the city's finances, in the sense that if I knew that the matter didn't interest the teams, I couldn't leave San Siro as it is, I have to find a solution, a sale for the future, otherwise I deplete the real estate assets."
