AC Milan are interested in Joshua Zirkzee, who is reportedly also wanted by other clubs abroad. There are even rumours of Bayern Munich possibly trying to sign their former striker from Bologna.
Bayern's executive, in fact, Karl-Heinze Rummenigge, spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport about the matter and potentially activating the 40 million euros clause said the following words, as relayed via Milan News.
"We have just appointed a new Chief of sports Max Eberl. I don't want to interfere with his work; he has to show the great qualities that I believe he has. I don't want to influence him. I don't know if the clause will be activated or not; it's part of the market that will take place in the summer."
Joshua Zirkzee in Bologna is the revelation in Serie A. Are you more proud to have discovered him or disappointed not to have kept him?
"I remember my last year as CEO; he played well, and when Flick put him on the field, he always scored crucial goals, not the fourth or fifth of the game. He helped us win important matches: I'm happy for him that he's doing well; he deserves it; I always saw him play well with us. His misfortune was having someone like Lewandowski ahead of him."
