AC Milan and Juventus are competing for the second position in the Serie A standings. But, they are also in the race for an important talent in the transfer market, away from the field.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconeri have set sights on 25-year-old Spanish defensive midfielder of Real Sociedad, Martin Zubimendi, who is also on the radar of AC Milan.
Last year, he extended his contract until June 2027, with a release clause of 60 million euros. The price is high, but the salary is within reach: he currently earns 3 million euros net per year.
He is a player who grew in Real Sociedad's youth academy and has already played 40 matches this season between La Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey. He has managed to score 4 goals and made 1 assist as well. In the past, he was also reportedly linked with FC Barcelona.
