Luka Jovic, AC Milan's Serbian forward arrived to the club on the last day of the previous summer transfer window, once the deal for Mehdi Taremi from Porto had definitively collapsed.
His contract with the Rossoneri expires at the end of the current season. He has to convince Milan with his performances on the pitch, in order to earn confirmation for the next campaign.
So far, the performance of the former Fiorentina player has been quite decent: 8 goals in 24 matches with a total of just 971 minutes played. Thus, the goal-scoring average is set at one goal every 121 minutes.
Many of these goals came late in the game, with Jovic coming off the bench. In short, he is a sort of a 'super sub'. According to our Pianeta Milan, Milan has already made a decision about Jovic's future.
The intention is to extend his contract with another season, therefore until the summer of 2025.
Jovic will sign the renewal with Milan to stay. He will not be put on the market to make a capital gain, but will remain available to the coach, but perhaps as a third striker.
In fact, Milan's idea is to sign a new starting striker in the next summer transfer window and try to retain Olivier Giroud, who is negotiating with Los Angeles FC in the American Major League Soccer (MLS), for another season with a tailored renewal. Behind them, Jovic.
If the AC Milan managers fail in the mission to keep Olivier Giroud in the squad, then there would be two new additions in Milan's offensive department. But, what is almost certain for now is that Luka Jovic shall remain with the club.
