On the eve of the friendly against Chelsea, Milan's second pre-season match of their Asia and Oceania tour, Koni De Winter joined Ruben Amorim at the pre-match press conference. Here are his comments.
You arrived seven days ago. What are your first impressions?
"It's been great to come back and see my teammates as well as the new players. We have a new coach and the style of play has changed a bit, but it's our job to adapt and give our best," as relayed via Milannews.it.
On the new way of organising the defensive line:
"We have a new coach and a new way of playing, so we have to adapt and do our best."
On the team's ambitions, De Winter said:
"I haven't been here for long, but I think Milan have the pressure to win trophies and the league. We're working towards that, and it's a great feeling to be working for such big objectives and to know that people expect a lot from us."
On his personal objective for this season:
"For me, the most important thing is to help the team in the best way possible and to do whatever the team needs. That's my objective for this season."
