AC Milan are closely following the progress of one interesting left-back in Serie A. That is Patrick Dorgu, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com.
He is considered one of the best young talents in Serie A, which is why the Rossoneri have scouted him at least twice in recent weeks. His season has been more than decent, to the extent that he has caught the attention of the national team for the Euros in Germany. Currently, the left-back position for Denmark is filled by adapted players like Maehle, who is right-footed but can play on the left.
However, Dorgu's valuation is difficult to pinpoint exactly. Much will depend on two factors: firstly, the potential stay of Lecce in Serie A, which seemed assured for much of the season but is now in jeopardy, especially considering the recent months. The victory against Salernitana has given a decent breather to coach D'Aversa and his team, who are now four points clear of Sassuolo, third from bottom, although the upcoming matches against Roma and Milan are crucial. Secondly, as mentioned earlier, the call-up for the Euros with Denmark could increase his market price.
In recent months, Dorgu has also been linked with German and English clubs, while Juventus has yet to make a move. Bayer Leverkusen, under Xabi Alonso, has scouted him, especially if Alex Grimaldo were to leave.
Dorgu is 19 years old. He has already made 25 appearances tihs season between Serie A and Coppa Italia. He played a total of 991 minutes with one goal and one assist registered to his name.
