The Milan Primavera team of coach Ignazio Abate took to the field this morning in Vinovo against Juventus for the twenty-seventh round of the Primavera 1 championship. The Rossoneri boys conquered the bianconeri's field with a score of 1-0, thanks to a goal from Francesco Camarda. The class of 2008 player emerged on the second post in the first half, capitalising on a corner kick and headed the ball into the net exploiting a flick from Diego Sia on the near post.
At the end of the match, which handed three crucial points to the Rossoneri, midfielder Mattia Malaspina spoke to Milan TV microphones.
About the match:
"We had to start well after the break. Beyond the standings and what we are experiencing, it was always Juve-Milan, a game everyone cares about. We sent an important signal, demonstrating that until the end of the season we are ready for anything and we want to fight."
On personal performance:
"It comes thanks to the team context. We are a team that wants to play football, we have worked all year to try to dominate the game, to bring as many men as possible into their area. We have succeeded many times but we know we still have a lot to improve."
On the atmosphere within the team, Malaspina said:
"We are a group. We are a team beyond the technical aspect. We get along well together, as people, beyond football. This is an aspect that does not need improvement. Then of course, we all need to improve technically and individually, we are young and we have the ambition to do so and move forward."
