At the end of last season, Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his retirement from football, after a final year spent more outside than inside the field due to continuous physical issues the superstar was facing. While AC Milan had the opportunity to celebrate him before, during, and after the last match of the previous season at San Siro against Hellas Verona on June 4th, Sweden has not yet had the chance to do so. The occasion, however, will come sooner than expected. The Scandinavian national team has announced a friendly match against Serbia on June 8th, with the purpose of celebrating Zlatan Ibrahimovic's career, as relayed via Milan News.
The Swedish national team's tweet reads:
"Let's celebrate Zlatan Ibrahimovic together. June 8th at 6:00 PM: an evening not to be missed: the men's national team meets Serbia at Friends Arena to celebrate Zlatan's yellow and blue career!"
