Mateo Retegui, according to the latest rumours, has been proposed to Milan for the upcoming summer transfer window. The Rossoneri, as known, will have to bid farewell to Olivier Giroud at the end of the season. The French striker should be moving, in all likelihood, to Los Angeles FC, leaving a gap in the Rossoneri's attacking department. Furthermore, if there is no renewal for Luka Jovic, which is far from certain, the management would have to intervene massively in the search for one or more center-forwards, as pointed out by Pianeta Milan.
According to reports from Sport Mediaset on this matter, Mateo Retegui's agents have proposed him to both Milan and Juventus. The current Genoa and Italy striker, indeed, wishes to play for a top club in the upcoming season. Milan, however, are currently lukewarm on this option, mainly because their primary target remains Joshua Zirkzee.
Additionally, Genoa seems unwilling to let him go easily, making it difficult to secure him under favourable conditions in a last-minute operation. Nevertheless, this interesting move by his agents should be considered while awaiting further updates.
Retegui, meanwhile, has a contract with Genoa until the summer of 2028. So far this season, the 24-year-old player has been able to score 8 goals plus three assists in 25 matches between Serie A and Coppa Italia.
