Head coach Stefano Pioli spoke to DAZN at the end of Juventus-Milan 0-0.

Here are his words:

After such complicated weeks, did you get the answers you expected?

"We are going through a delicate moment, reacting like this, with this willingness to sacrifice to achieve an important result against a strong team that wanted to climb in the standings, I believe the boys interpreted the game very well. Then, of course, we can do better in terms of finishing and the final pass, I believe we sacrificed a lot to achieve an important result. There was a particular atmosphere, our fans weren't there to support us... We fought until the end, it was a good reaction."

How are the motivations from now until the end of the season?

"We work on our pride, on the desire to do well until the end, on our seriousness. We wear an important shirt, we have to do well in these four games. We have three at home and one still here in Turin against Torino. We have to do well until the end, we owe it to ourselves, the fans, and the club."

Today you had two out of three possible results, Pioli said:

"Yes, that's right."

On the tactics:

"Their left flank has experienced and fast players. We tried to unsettle them by changing some positions. In the first half, we put in a good performance, then in the second half, the energy dropped a bit, and Juventus put in many attackers and pressed us. We defended with a lot of spirit and determination. Not losing is a positive result for us."

A game of endurance for the first time this season. What was there in terms of solidity tonight that was missing for the rest of the season? Pioli responded:

"Surely we waited for them more, also because of the absences we had. Due to the characteristics of the defenders, we preferred to have more density. Then it's the results that judge: Juventus could have scored and maybe it would have been said that today we defended too deep. But I liked the spirit. It's important that when a team has a game plan, they stick to it until the end. The team did it in a difficult game, at a complicated time of the season. I have to say that I am very satisfied with the performance of my players."

Why so little space for Samuel Chukwueze?

"I actually liked Pulisic. Chukwueze is also doing well but at the moment, I don't give up an extra midfielder to play with 4 attacking players to suffer, so Chukwueze is the one sacrificing the most at the moment."

How did you experience the approach to the game with all these rumors?

"I haven't been reading anything for a long time, but then I have friends who send me messages. I tell them not to send them, but they do. Only doing well in all the games matters, great concentration, and the serenity to get the team to finish well."

The team showed personality today:

"Yes. What we had prepared, we put into practice. We could have been more dangerous, and we tried. I got the answers I was looking for, now we have to try to win the next ones because we want to finish second and we want to get as many points as possible."

One thing you would like to change about the season and one thing you are proud of:

"Of course, I may have made some mistakes, the season could have been better. If we have fallen so far behind Inter, it means that the others are worse off than us, which means they have done something exceptional, and I congratulate them. In the league, we have been at a good level, but we couldn't keep up with their pace. There are many things that can be done better. The team has changed a lot, it was time to change. We have experienced difficult moments but this is a group that has the potential to be a protagonist and do well."
