AC Milan are preparing for the upcoming summer window and there is an interesting player who remains on the shortlist of the management.
The name is Joshua Zirkzee, the Dutch striker of Bologna who is 22 years old. With Olivier Giroud set to leaving the squad at the end of the current season, he is regarded as an important opportunity to reinforce the attacking department.
AC Milan, though, is not the only club interested in signing him. In fact, Juventus are also considering a move for him. La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper explained that it could be a very fierce competition for him between the two Italian sides. Bologna, for their part, have set a price tag of 60 million euros.
As for Inter, their management seems to be in retreat, while a threat could come directly from the Premier League club Arsenal.
On the possible market clash between Milan and Juve, the Italian publication adds: "Gerry Cardinale's club moved first and is ready to spend. However, the Bianconeri are gaining momentum."
Regarding Bayern Munich, they can potentially bring Zirkzee back to Bavaria for a fee of 40 million euros thanks to an exclusive release clause in the agreement with Bologna. The wage challenge will also be important: currently, Zirkzee earns just under a million euros, but the demand is for a salary of 4 million euros.
