Giorgio Furlani, an AC Milan executive, spoke to 'DAZN' before the game against Salernitana, the 38th and final matchday of the 2023-2024 Serie A season, which will take place at the San Siro.
Here are his statements:
On Stefano Pioli:
"He has been immensely important. With him, we've reached the Champions League four years in a row and won a Scudetto. It's a completely different Milan since his arrival, and we are infinitely grateful to him. The first time I spoke with him was a video call in which I told him not to listen to the rumours. I have many wonderful moments with him that I will remember forever."
On Olivier Giroud and Simon Kjaer:
"There was much talk about a young Milan lacking experience, which was brought by Kjaer, Giroud, and Ibrahimovic. We are grateful to them and fortunate to have had them. We wish them all the best."
On the future, Furlani said:
"I wouldn't talk about names or candidates; it's an evening to celebrate Stefano Pioli. The Milan of the future is one in which we will do our best to make it more competitive. We will do more targeted work."
