AC Milan's Serie A campaign ended by being second in the standings. But, there is a big gap with the Champions, Inter. The fans are also not satisfied with how the season has gone in terms of results in important matches as well as performances.
The club management has many tasks this summer as they need to strengthen the squad. One of the departments that need to be strengthened is the central defender position, especially with the exit of Simon Kjaer.
The top priority is Alessandro Buongiorno from Torino, as per Pianeta Milan the Italian 24-year-old. But, he is expensive and there is a lot of competition, both Italian and international. A cheaper but equally valid option is Maxence Lacroix, born in 2000, from Wolfsburg. Surprises, however, are not to be ruled out, such as Moncada returning to an old favourite, long courted and desired, with whom, however, the Rossoneri have never yet tied the knot.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Arsenal is reportedly changing its plans for Jakub Kiwior, born in 2000, a Polish left-footed defender, who was signed from Spezia in January 2023, for the upcoming season. It seems he is no longer so indispensable in the plans of the Spanish coach Mikel Arteta, and Milan would be ready to step in.
Moncada appreciates him for his versatility (he can play both as a central defender and as a left-back), for his technical characteristics, because he knows Serie A, and for his economic parameters.
His valuation is 22 million euros, with a net salary of 2.2 million euros per season. Could he, in the end, be the suitable reinforcement for the Rossoneri in defense?
