In the economy of the Rossoneri market, we must also consider the buyouts that Milan is collecting, following last summer's trimming of the squad. Atalanta club management, in fact, has already signed De Ketelaere. Milan did receive 22 million euros for the Belgian's card, plus bonuses and a 10% resale percentage, according to Tuttosport.
Additionally, at Casa Milan, they can also count on about 7 million euros from the permanent transfers of Rade Krunic to Fenerbahce and Junior Messias to Genoa. Then there are the missed buyouts: Fodé Ballo-Touré (Fulham) and Divock Origi (Nottingham Forest), who are no longer part of the club's plans and are free to find new arrangements, with the possibility of contract termination not being excluded.
Then, there's Alexis Saelemaekers, whose purchase by Bologna was somewhat unexpected. The Belgian winger had an excellent season, but the change on the bench, with Vincenzo Italiano replacing Thiago Motta, blocked the purchase operation. The new boss does not see the former Anderlecht talent as a suitable profile to his tactical plans.
Saelemaekers will therefore return to Milan and will be an asset, but not for the team, rather for the budget. The club is confident that the player will attract interest and aims to earn about 12 to 15 million euros from a possible sale.
