Yusuf Yazici, born in 1997, a Turkish playmaker, announced today, in a post published on his official account on X, his farewell to Lille, the club where he has played for the last four seasons. These seasons were not continuous, as they were interspersed with loan spells at CSKA Moscow first (six months, January-June 2022) and then Trabzonspor (2022-2023 season).
But where could 27-year-old Yazici end up now? In his last season with the 'Dogues', with whom he finished fourth in Ligue 1, the Turkish player scored 12 goals and provided 4 assists in 42 matches across league, Conference League, and the French Cup. The website 'Get French Football News' explained that among the many European clubs interested in him, Milan is also in the mix.
According to 'GFFN', the left-footed player who stands at 184 centimetres tall is reportedly a favourite of Paulo Fonseca, who coached him at Lille last season. Fonseca is now Milan's new coach, and it appears that one option for Yazici could be a move to Serie A to wear the red and black colours.
Interestingly, Milan's audience already knows Yazici unfortunately. This is because on November 5, 2020, at 'San Siro', during the Europa League group stage match between Milan and Lille, the Turkish player scored a hat-trick (22' from a penalty, 55' and 58'), helping the team then coached by Christophe Galtier and with Mike Maignan in goal, to win 0-3, as pointed out by Pianeta Milan.
