The Curva Sud Milano, in a statement published on their social media accounts, announced that unlike in recent years, they will not be present at the Milanello gathering on Monday, the 8th, for the start of the 2024/25 season. Here are their reasons:
"With the now traditional Milanello gathering, Monday officially marks the start of the new season for Milan, but unlike what has been happening in recent years, the organized fan base will not be present. The massive renewal of season tickets by the Rossoneri fans, despite the substantial price increases, once again highlights the unconditional love for these colors as well as the trust placed in the club's actions, which has recently made statements about its ambitions for the present and future of Milan.
However, the gathering has always been a day of celebration where we greet the team, the coach, and the new signings. This year, though, partly due to the European Championship that involves our most representative players and certainly slows down some market negotiations, it will be a gathering with a reduced squad and without new signings to welcome. We definitely welcome Mr. Fonseca, hopeful that the field will prove him to be a coach worthy of this club's history. We will have time and opportunities to greet the team as usual before the start of the championship.
In the meantime, we wait with confidence... With Milan in our hearts, always!
