Giuseppe Sala speaks again about San Siro. The Mayor of Milan, in an interview with the Milan edition of Corriere della Sera, commented:
"There's something a bit irritating for me, the stadium issue, where I don't want to be either optimistic or pessimistic, I'm pragmatic. But I hope a solution can be found to save San Siro and to convince the teams that it can still be their home."
Then Sala continued:
"Is it possible for the two clubs to buy the Meazza? Everything is possible. The issue is whether the teams are willing to renovate it, knowing that WeBuild explained it can be renovated without stopping the matches, losing 4-5,000 seats out of the current 74,000. Now that this is clear, they are called to make a decision. If they undertake this path, any formula can be valid: buying, a 90-year surface right... We'll see. And in the case of works, who is better suited to do them? The answer is obvious, better the private sector, they have more capability and can be quick. I hope so."
