With the pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee becoming really difficult for Milan, AC Milan is now determined and ready to turn to Álvaro Morata to strengthen their offensive department for Paulo Fonseca's disposal ahead of the upcoming season.
Journalist Alfredo Pedullà provided an update on the Spanish striker's future, who is currently with the Spain national team at Euro 2024:
"Álvaro Morata is deeply involved with Spain, extremely happy to have reached the semifinals at the European Championship. However, he is aware of Milan's move, intending to pay the clause of 12-13 million euros and also to meet his salary demands of 6 million euros."
He continued to talk about Alvaro Morata's situation in the market
"To clarify: at this moment, Morata has no other Italian prospects, as Roma has only shown preliminary interest, and his beloved Juventus might not materialize due to having Milik on the roster and being focused on more pressing market needs. He has declined offers from Saudi Arabia, expressing his happiness to stay and win with Atlético Madrid, in his own words. But a call from Serie A would have a different flavor and meaning, which is why Milan is waiting for him while he is focused on Spain’s dream of winning the Euros. And soon, he will give a definitive answer."
