AC Milan will focus primarily on making targeted acquisitions that can improve the quality, more or less, of each department on the field. Among these, defensive moves are also expected.
It is already known that the Rossoneri management is pushing for Emerson Royal on the right flank, but there may also be a focus on a central defender, as pointed out by those at the Italy-based website, Milan News.
At the moment, acquiring a new defender is not the absolute priority, but it is clear that the Rossoneri are keeping all options open. One of the names highlighted in Moncada's shortlist is, according to what is told by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport in this morning's print edition, that of the Portuguese player Diogo Leite, a central defender who has been playing in Germany for Union Berlin for a couple of seasons.
At the moment, it is just an interest, and there are no ongoing negotiations for the left-footed central defender. This could change if the Rossoneri's defensive department were to lose a few more players.
