According to Claudio Raimondi on SportMediaset, Milan is working to strengthen its defence, with Strahinja Pavlovic from Salzburg as the top name on the list. The latest news is that the parties are gradually getting closer: the Austrians are willing to lower their initial demand of 30 million euros to 27 million euros, while AC Milan has increased its offer by adding three million in bonuses to the 20 million euros already on the table.
The parties are closer, but a final agreement is not yet certain, so Milan also has a Plan B: Mario Hermoso, a Spanish central defender born in 1995 who is currently a free agent after his contract with Atletico Madrid expired. Napoli is also interested in him, but they need to sell a defender before making a move.
