The AC Milan management has identified Niclas Füllkrug as the ideal target to complete the attacking department for the head coach Paulo Fonseca. The German forward joined Borussia Dortmund last summer, but this summer, the club has acquired a new starting striker, Serhou Guirassy, who was the Bundesliga’s second-top scorer last year with Stuttgart. Therefore, Füllkrug might be looking for a change of scenery, and Borussia might end up selling him.
Today, Sport BILD reported the words of sporting director Sebastian Kehl:
"Serhou will give us more options and improve us. We look forward to having him with us. Something might still happen in that position. We realise that it is not ideal to start the season with four forwards. I spoke with Niclas, of course, even before signing Serhou. I find all the guys very ambitious in the negotiations. It’s about the club’s objectives, and a competitive situation is part of that. This is also how I perceived Füllkrug. In the end, improving helps us all."
