Vito Angelè: “Milan has changed plans in the market. Fonseca’s communication with the players is better because… “

During the ‘Calciomercato Live’ broadcast on Sportitalia, our director Vito Angelè took stock of the situation on the Rossoneri market:

‘Right now Milan are only thinking about Fofana. Fonseca said as much in a press conference. There are no alternatives. In the next few hours the green light from Monaco could arrive. While we are waiting to resolve the Adli situation: for the coach and the club he does not fit into the project for this season. The midfielder would like to stay, but with the arrival of another midfielder he might accept to leave because he would not play in Milan'.

Milan's transfer market may not be over though:

‘At the moment Milan do not have the priority of buying another striker. Jovic has convinced Fonseca, so the priority has changed. Milan are not looking for a striker, if a big offer for Jovic arrives things will change. But Milan feel comfortable because they have Morata, Jovic and even Okafor can play. And then there's Camarda..."

Ismael Bennacer could leave:

"There is talk of offers from Saudi Arabia. But Milan do not want to be weakened. I watched the Berlusconi Trophy from the sidelines. Bennacer was the man who talked the most on the pitch. He was constantly giving directions to his teammates and moving the midfield and attack with his words. He is a player who feels at the heart of the project. His will is to stay at AC Milan and then go abroad in a few years. It is normal that if someone decided to pay the clause things would change. But there's nothing about that, for now..."

The tour was exciting:

"It couldn't have gone better. There is a lot of enthusiasm now, but it was already there during the first days in America. They said Fonseca was a corporate coach, a yes man, but after the Manchester City game he said Saelemaekers should stay, yesterday he mentioned Fofana's name instead. He is a coach who is showing a lot, even if we are only at the beginning. It may sound stupid to say it but the fact that he speaks more than three languages helps him a lot with the players. Last year it was not easy for foreigners to adapt, Milan is one of the teams with more foreigners of different nationalities and with different languages spoken. Fonseca communicates with everyone very well. He doesn't need an assistant translator to make himself understood, as was the case before. This can help..."

More on the Silvio Berlusconi Trophy:

"There are many positive notes, of course, but it is normal that some still need time. I'm talking about Terracciano for example, Fonseca called him out often during the match. He's struggling to settle in but it will be a matter of time for him too... For Milan, he's also important for a list... Leao also needs time because Fonseca would like to change something in his game. When playing on the right he would always want him in the penalty area because he is also strong at headers, this year there will be no Giroud, Morata doesn't always go for the goalkeeper, so Milan need more presence in the penalty area. I wouldn't be surprised if against Torino Saelemaekers starts as a starter..."
