At the Puma House of Football, Milan is left with a feeling that they could have definitely done better after a 0-0 draw. They could earned a victory today in the UEFA Youth League fixture against Liverpool.
After a tight first half, which ended with coach Federico Guidi's team showing signs of improvement, the second half saw the Rossoneri completely dominate Liverpool, who didn’t take a single shot in the second half.
Many chances went uncapitalised by Milan, including a stroke of bad luck, a stunning shot off the post by Camarda, and excellent goalkeeping by the opposing keeper, with a miraculous save on Bonomi five minutes from the end.
Despite not taking home the three points, it was a strong performance that leaves the coach, players, and the entire club optimistic for the future, writes Milannews.it.
Here is the ratings of the Milan Primavera players after this fixture, as relayed via MondoPrimavera.com:
Longoni 6: The goalkeeper's performance would be rated as "no score": a spectator who didn’t pay, he was hardly ever challenged.
Bakoune 6.5: One of the most dangerous players on the field thanks to his runs down the right flank. Defensively, he was well-supported by his teammates doubling up.
Parmiggiani 6.5: Alongside Paloschi, he contained Liverpool's attack well without conceding any chances. Very skillful and confident when playing out from the back.
Paloschi 6.5: Same rating as his teammate above. Always attentive and solid in containing Liverpool’s attack, making some good defensive stops.
Magni 7: The best player on the field, he was unstoppable! He never stopped running, making it hard for opponents to contain him. He also contributed significantly to defense, becoming a real wall.
Liberali 5.5: A lot of flair but no end product, more is expected from him. Too obsessed with the ball, he sometimes makes simple mistakes that are unlike him. Unlucky in the first half when his shot, which was heading for the goal, was blocked by Camarda.
Bonomi 6: Had few touches, but Liverpool's goalkeeper, Misciur, denied him a goal with a great save.
Stalmach 6: A solid but unremarkable performance. His job was to orchestrate the team’s play, and he did so well. He won some fouls and helped out in defence.
Comotto 7: A stellar match! Guidi placed him slightly deeper compared to earlier in the season, and he delivered an excellent performance. His running, sacrifice, and heart made him undoubtedly one of the best on the pitch.
Sia 5.5: He wasn’t able to move or create as much as he usually does, a subpar performance. From the 46th minute, Sala 6: Entered the game well, bringing the right amount of energy.
Camarda 5.5: A first half to forget: he was booked for diving after 12 minutes and blocked Liberali’s certain goal. He improved in the second half but was unlucky, hitting the post with a header.
Scotti 6: A positive impact, running and creating, but couldn’t hurt the opponents.
Ibrahimovic 6: The son of a legend, in addition to starting the season strong, performed well today too. In the first half, he created a lot, putting the opposing defence in serious trouble. He faded in the second half, though the opposing goalkeeper denied him a goal.
