Before the Champions League match between Bayer Leverkusen and Milan, Zvonimir Boban shared his thoughts live on Sky Sport Italia regarding Paulo Fonseca's playing system and Rafael Leao, who has been struggling a bit at the start of the season:
"Morata, Abraham, Pulisic, and Leao as faces of the resurgence? Leao has nothing to do with it, he deserves all the criticism. It's time for him to show more consistency and courage. In past years, I always defended him, he received too much criticism for a wrong body language despite his impressive stats and high-level plays."
Boban continued to talk about Rafael Leao:
"This year, he needs to wake up. Fonseca has been brave to field three and a half forwards: apart from Leao, the other three run to make up for the lack of a midfielder. In the long run, this will come at a cost, but for now, it's working. With four forwards, I don't think you'll achieve results in the long run."
