Mike Maignan has started this season off strong: aside from perhaps the match against Liverpool, where the entire team struggled, the French goalkeeper has responded well with high-level performances between the derby and Lecce, as relayed via Milannews.it.
Nelson Dida, the former legendary goalkeeper of Milan and also ex goalkeeper coach during Maignan's first year at Milanello, which was the year of the scudetto, spoke about him.
Here's what he said to Radio Serie A:
"From time to time, I see Mike and we talk. He asks me, 'Did you see the match? Did I play well?' He’s incredibly strong, definitely one of the best in Serie A."
Dida added:
"He’s always reliable, both between the posts and with his feet. I saw him the other night in the derby, and I really liked him a lot
