Below is the official statement from the Serie A:
"Similar to the major American professional leagues, Serie A has been exporting and promoting its brand abroad since 1993. The Italian Supercup has been played four times in Saudi Arabia and China, twice in the United States and Qatar, and once in Libya.
The 37th edition of the tournament will take place in Riyadh, and like last year, it will follow a four-team format, featuring two knockout semifinals (January 2-3, 2025) and a final on January 6, 2025.
The clubs competing for the EA Sports FC Supercup will be the 2023/2024 Serie A Champion (F.C. Internazionale), the winner of the 2023/2024 Frecciarossa Italian Cup (Juventus F.C.), the runner-up in the 2023/2024 Serie A season (A.C. Milan), and the finalist of the last Frecciarossa Italian Cup (Atalanta B.C.).
The first semifinal will be Inter-Atalanta (Thursday, January 2, 2025), and the second will be Juventus-Milan (Friday, January 3, 2025). The final between the semifinal winners will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025.
The cup will be awarded in the innovative 'Kingdom Arena,' the most modern multi-sport indoor facility in the Middle East and North Africa.
The venue is equipped with cutting-edge technology for both television broadcasting and sound and light design engineering.
All matches will be broadcast live in Italy on Mediaset networks and will also be available in 160 other countries that have already acquired the audiovisual rights to the event.
More details and competition regulations will be announced in the coming days.
