Cafu, legendary former AC Milan right-back, made some remarks on the podcast 'Denilson Show,' sharing anecdotes about his former teammate alexandre Pato.
Here’s what he said:

"It was me, Nesta, and Maldini. During training, we were doing one-on-ones, and we'd ask, 'Who’s going up against Pato?' 'Captain, you go,' Maldini would tell me, he called me that. And then, 'Go, Nesta,' Maldini would say. We couldn’t catch him. When Pato arrived, I told Serginho: 'The greatest striker in the history of Brazilian football is in front of us.' He’d cut right and left, shoot with his right and left foot, take free kicks, and even score headers. He had a strength and a change of direction that made it impossible to know how to catch him, and when he’d get past you, he’d say: 'Maldini… bye-bye.' I’d just stand there watching Pato in training."
Cafu continued to talk about Pato:
"I saw him at Milan; I’m not telling you this after watching a video on TV. I trained with him. I’d give him a five-meter lead to see if I could keep up, but I couldn’t."
He added:
"I left at the end of my contract and would call to ask how the kid was doing. They’d say he was injured. Just a minor issue, nothing serious. He’d play one match and miss two."
