Leao is not the only one to blame at Milan – Other key stars have been disappointing this season

Usually, the wave of criticism tends to flood especially Rafael Leao, the number 10 and star of a Milan team that is struggling to get going as hoped at the beginning of the season, as pointed out by Milannews.it.

With Paulo Fonseca on the bench, the statistics show that the Rossoneri are having their worst start since the 2019-20 season (read the stastics here). This is why the Portuguese manager will certainly bear some blame, but at the same time, it must be said that he is being let down by the best players on this team.

Not just Rafael Leao, Theo and the other Milan stars must be criticised as well

Theo Hernandez is one of these players, who has been almost unrecognisable due to the red card in Florence, the missed penalty, and the cooling break in Rome. Not to mention Fikayo Tomori, who has been performing at a level that is, to say the least, questionable.

These two, among others, are several players who are disappointing at Milan, as noted this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, which rightly felt it was unfair to point the finger solely at Leao. We read the following headline:

"From Tomori and Theo to Loftus-Cheek, here are the big disappointments for the Rossoneri."
