Paulo Fonseca, the Rossoneri coach, spoke to UEFA's official microphones after Real Madrid - Milan, the fourth match of the Champions League 2024-2025 Group Stage, held at the 'Santiago Bernabeu' stadium in Madrid, which ended in a 1-3 victory for the Rossoneri.

The Portuguese coach emphasised how the team had the courage to play that way against one of the strongest clubs in the world, if not the strongest.
Here are his statements, as relayed via Pianeta Milan:
"I think it's fair to say that we played without fear, with courage. It's not easy to come here and play against the best team in the world at the moment, especially when you want to show this courage, this personality."
He added:
"I think we did an excellent job in the first half. In the second half, perhaps we suffered a bit more because Real pressed harder, especially in the last 30 meters, but in the end, we scored an incredible goal. It takes courage to play as we did."
Fonseca continued:
"We understood the phases of the game, when to speed up and when to push. The first half was almost perfect; I'm very pleased with my players."
