AC Milan wrote history at the Santiago Bernabeu on November 5, 2024: the Rossoneri are the first team to score three goals against Real Madrid at the Santiago Beernabeu twice in the European Cup/Champions League, having already done so in October 2009.
Discussing the historic win, La Gazzetta dello Sport shared the post-match players ratings.
Fonseca's Milan was superior - Rafael Leao was the man of the match.
The Portuguese left-winger who worked hard during the match and helped set up the second goal and also made an assist in the third goal, received a rating set at 8. Tijjani Reijnders was really strong at dictating the match too, he earned the same rating as Leao.
Mike Maignan, Malick Thiaw, Fikayo Tomori, Youssouf Fofana, and Alvaro Morata have done really well too and earned themselves ratings set at 7.5
Theo Hernandez' work earned him a rating set at 7. He was good going forward, but also did well in the defensive phase. AC Milan's American duo Yunus Musah and Christian Pulisic have earned ratings set at 7.
English midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, entered later during the match and missed a clear goal scoring opportunity. He could have scored the Rossoneri's fourth goal, but Real Madrid's Lunin made a good save. His rating? 6.
Tammy Abraham, on the other hand, also entered later during the match, replacing Morata, but his work only earned him a rating set at 6 as well.
Emerson Royal was AC Milan's least impressive player on the pitch:
The Brazilian right-back could have done much better, he made an error with his tackle against Vinicius Junior, which resulted in a penalty for Los Blancos and they converted it successfully, making it 1-1 temporarily.
