Giacomo Bonaventura left a great memory of himself at Milan. A talent that was expressed at its best in the Rossonero colours, but probably achieved much less than he deserved due to the very difficult conditions the club was going through at that time, both on a sporting and managerial level.
After his experience at Fiorentina, today the Italian midfielder plays in Saudi Arabia with Al-Shabab, but he has not forgotten the AC Milan club.
Here's what he had tosay on the farewell to Milan and the famous image of his last time at the San Siro with the AC Milan shirt:
"I knew it was my last time, I didn’t want to leave San Siro. I would have liked that game to never end. I grew up dreaming of playing at San Siro. I started from a small town in Marche, and I made it there", he told Rivista Undici.
Bonaventura also spoke about the San Siro. Here's what he said:
"That stadium gives you a charge that’s hard to find elsewhere, even though there was a great atmosphere in Florence too."
